Loose Women icon Coleen Nolan has shared her concerns over her financial situation after moving to North Staffordshire. The TV presenter – who moved to a farm in the Moorlands last year – admits she is dogged by money worries which keep her awake at night as she approaches her 60th birthday.
Despite feeling proud of her accomplishments, particularly those she has achieved independently in recent years, she still feels the need to keep on working.
She revealed: “I’m turning 60 feeling strong and confident, and quite proud of what of what I’ve achieved, especially in the past few years when I’ve achieved it on my own. Of course, I still lie in bed at night worrying about how I’m going to pay the bills, but it gives me the incentive to work hard, and that’s good.”
Turning to thoughts of her upcoming birthday, Coleen plans to downscale from previous milestone celebrations. She told Closer UK: “My 40th and 50th birthdays were big events, but they cost a lot of money, so this year I just want to be surrounded by friends and family, even they come here for a little party.”
However, Coleen was able to share her home near Dilhorne with her sisters for a New Year’s Eve party.
Since joining the Loose Women panel back in 2000, Coleen treasures the connections she has made on the show. Among her colleagues at ITV, she finds enduring friendships, confessing, “We’re good friends, as well as colleagues.”
She considers fellow presenters like Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter, Brenda Edwards, and Christine Lampard as companions who will be “friends forever” beyond the confines of the studio.
In an homage to the enduring success of the celebrated chat show’s quarter-century milestone, she reflected warmly on her connection with the series, and addressed the speculation surrounding off-air conflicts. She added: “If we hated each other as much some people say we do, we wouldn’t still be going 25 years later.”
Loose Women consistently draws fans, airing every weekday at 12.30pm on ITV, ensuring viewers get their daily dose of conversation and debate.
