Christine McGuinness has opened up about ‘mum guilt’ and living arrangements with ex-husband Paddy McGuinness.
The Blackpool-born model appeared on ITV’s Loose Women to talk about her recent ventures, including an appearance on Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. During the catch-up, Christine was asked about her family arrangements, having split from comedian Paddy in 2021.
Panellist and fellow Blackpool-born star Coleen Nolan asked: “How has it been co-parenting?” Christine replied: “The same as always, we still live together.”
Coleen asked if the co-parenting situation was harder at Christmastime. She replied: “No, I think a lot of people are like, how can you have Christmas with your ex-husband?
“We live in the same house so I can’t just kick him out on Christmas Day. That would be rude.”
The mum-of-three says she tries to “keep everything as normal as possible” for their children, who all live with autism. Christine added: “I don’t want the children going to different houses and you know when they come home from school, they struggle with change anyway.
“I want them to know where their home is and it kind of doesn’t matter if mummy or daddy’s there, they just wanna know that after school they’re going back to one home and and I don’t wanna go away to work and come back to an empty house because it might be his days to have the kids.”
