Car delivering medication stolen along with prescriptions of morphine, tramadol and insulin

A car delivering medication has been stolen along with prescriptions of morphine, tramadol and insulin.

The beige-coloured Renault Clio was distributing the medicines on behalf of a pharmacy when thieves struck in Middlesbrough. The vehicle, along with the potentially dangerous prescription medication, was stolen from Hollyrood Court, Longlands, around 1.50pm on Friday, January 10.

Police have launched an investigation and warned the substances could be harmful.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “The vehicle was being used to deliver medication on behalf of a pharmacy, which was stolen along with the vehicle. Some of the prescription packages contained tramadol, morphine and insulin. Police are warning the public that any medication can be dangerous if taken when not prescribed and in the wrong quantities, and to contact us should they be offered medication by anyone.
