Merseyside has again seen temperatures plunge below freezing so far this weekend, following a week of icy conditions and snow across the region. The Met Office issued several weather warnings for snow and ice across Merseyside this week which caused disruption to roads, schools, train services and flights.
Over the last few days, many of us woke to find outside our our homes blanketed in snow, which reminded us of winter time in years gone by. As January continues to be off to a cold and icy start, we’ve revisited our archive to find beautiful photos of Liverpool snow days through the decades.
