A brand new Somerset Lidl store will be opening its doors ahead of schedule at the end of January. The new store in Wells is bigger and brighter than the last one, with a lot more parking and disabled spaces.
The brand new building has been completely refurbished along the lines of other modern Lidl stores. There will also be a cycle track to make the branded store assessable and sustainable for non drivers.
The new Lidl will be on the same site as before, the old Travis Perkins building on Strawberry Way in the city, but it is much bigger and more modern. Shoppers and locals will be pleased the building work was completed ahead of schedule and can now look forward to a much better shopping experience at the new store in one of the UK’s favourite grocery brands.
Famous for its discounted prices, Lidl remains one of the most popular supermarkets in the Wells area, with daily special offers and discounts especially for people with Lidl Plus cards. It is especially popular during these times with household and energy bills rising and the cost of living crisis.
The early opening is good news for shoppers in Wells and surrounding areas, with plenty of parking for people coming from outside the town. Lidl will announce the exact date of opening in the coming weeks.
