A driver crashed into a wall on a rural road near Huddersfield during foggy weather conditions.
The crash happened on Boxing Day near Helme in the Holmfirth area and is thought to have involved a BMW car. Passing motorists noticed the car had crashed into the stone wall on Blackmoorfoot Road near to the Blackmoorfoot Reservoir.
The location is a rural road which is a short distance away from the Wills O’ Nats pub which is on Blackmoorfoot Road. The driver told police that no-one had been hurt and that they had crashed during foggy conditions.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 18.51pm on Thursday by a caller reporting a car had crashed into a wall on Blackmoorfoot Road near to Slades Lane.
“Officers spoke with the driver who confirmed the car had crashed in fog, there were no injuries, and recovery would be arranged for the vehicle.”
Locals suggested the wall may have already been damaged from previous collisions before the Boxing Day crash.
