Beverley doctors’ surgery forced to change appointments as building damaged by car

A GP surgery in Beverley has been forced to rearrange appointments after a car crashed into it.

To ensure the safety of patients while the repair work is carried out, those with appointments at The North Beverley Medical Centre have been told to enter the premises via the pharmacy.

This means those who have early appointments before 9am will be switched to telephone consultations or have their appointment changed to another time if it needs to be in person.

In a statement on social media, the North Beverley Medical Centre said: “We would like to inform you that, due to damage to our front entrance, any appointments scheduled between 8am and 9am will now be conducted as telephone consultations for the safety and convenience of all patients, until further notice.

“If you already have an appointment during this time, you will be contacted directly to either rearrange your appointment (if it cannot be handled over the phone) or to confirm that your appointment will proceed as a telephone consultation.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Thank you for your cooperation.”
