BBC The Traitors fans say ‘I hate these traitors’ as ‘iconic contestant ‘murdered’

Fans of The Traitors series haven’t had to wait long for the third series to air, and with three weekly episodes until the end of January there is a lot of drama ahead.

Wednesday night’s episode saw Yin as the first to be “murdered” by traitors Linda, Minah, and Armani. As the first episode ended, viewers saw Linda on the firing line at the roundtable before the show left the elimination decision on a cliffhanger.

Viewers have already witnessed some mind games being played. with Charlotte pretending to be Welsh, Lisa refusing to share that she is a priest, and Leanne convincing her fellow contestants that she’s a beautician instead of an ex-soldier.

The second murder of the show was revealed to be Keith, a 65-year-old window cleaner from Bournemouth. Speaking of why he joined the show, Keith previously shared: “I watched the first and the second series and with the second series, I was sitting on the settee watching as Harry won and as soon as it finished, I said to my wife, I said, ‘You know something? I could do that’. And that’s the reason why I applied.

“I like to play games like this, it excites me. It reminds me of an old TV programme called Columbo, he was a lieutenant, and he always knew who the murderer was. He knew they did it, but he just needed to work it out from start to finish. So, and that’s why I applied, I just thought I could I enjoy these sorts of games.”

@paixluna took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and complained: “They murdered Keith, I hate these traitors.” @qsexua echoed: “not Keith” followed by a crying emoji.

@RyanTheSoapking added: “Why are the Traitors killing all the ICONIC characters? First it was Yin now it’s Keith.”

Fans of the BBC show witnessed Keith share that he doesn’t actually like his wife’s cooking, @Thurston_FW mused: “Keith’s wife when he gets home and she’s just done the big shop for the weekly bolognese.”

@prxtsh echoed: “Keith I hate that it had to be you but the narrative the traitors are putting out is genius.”

It’s been revealed by Claudia Winkleman that those who make it to the final will not be revealing to each other if they are a traitor or faithful, this is to encourage the contestants to trust their instinct. Tomorrow night’s episode viewers will see which individuals are one step closer to the final, and who is waving goodbye to the prize money.

Traitors is on at 9pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
