BBC The Traitors fans ‘feel bad’ for contestant in tears over ‘not being believed’

Fans of The Traitors said they ‘feel bad’ for one contestant saying a lack of trust between contestants is starting to build.

Charlotte, who pretended to be Welsh to deceive the others, ended up in tears as she was being accused of being a traitor.

She received a few votes at the round table when the group decided their first elimination would be faithful Nathan. Speaking about why she joined the show, Charlotte commented: “I have loved the show since the very start and think it would be such a fun thing to take part in. A real ‘money can’t buy’ experience getting to play the game.”

With her game plan in mind, Charlotte revealed: “In terms of actually being there, I’ve just got to see how it goes. I think the reality of playing the game will be very different to thinking about playing the game. But in terms of an overarching game plan? I have one. Not sure if it will work or not.”

Fans of the show took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to discuss Charlotte in tears. @Patty8862 wrote: “I lowkey feel bad for Charlotte cuz she may have muddled up her words in terms of saying she’s ‘relaxed’ and now she has to deal with the confusion around that while also maintaining a fake Welsh accent consistently!”

@BrokebackJoey added: “How tf can Charlotte say she’s being herself when her voice ain’t even real?” with @napqueen3000 penned: “Charlotte has already totally dropped that accent and literally nobody has noticed… And also she’s crying about not being believed babes they’re believing in an accent you managed badly for a day.”

Tonight’s episode saw the group try to win a challenge to prevent another murder from happening. Tomorrow viewers can see the next elimination.

Traitors is on at 9pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
