Janette Manrara has delighted fans with a simple move as she marked the start of a new year. The presenter and dancer has spent Christmas in Miami with her family.
She and her Strictly Come Dancing star husband Aljaz Skorjanec, along with daughter Lyra Rose, made the trip following the end of the BBC One dance contest’s 2024 series, which saw Aljaz compete in the final in mid-December alongside celebrity dance partner Tasha Ghouri.
Janette shared a joyous family snap on Christmas Eve (December 24) as she marked being back with her family, including her parents. She said on Instagram: “After a day and a half of travel (we had to stay in a hotel near Gatwick last night) we have made it to Miami! Lyra was deliriously excited to see her Tata, Tio, and Abuela! Let the holiday cuddles and rest begin!!”
As she and her family posted for a number of snaps after her mum went all out with her incredible decorative display, she added: “Happy Christmas everyone! I hope however you celebrated, big and loud or small and quiet, that is was above all peaceful, and full of wonderful thoughts and gratitude for the blessings you have. I am feeling overwhelmed w/ joy and deep gratitude in my heart.
“Feeling blessed to have shared such a beautiful night w/ my family! Thank you @stepby2designs (mom) and @luismanrara (dad) for being such epic hosts for our family! You really went all in and it was magical. Missing my brother @fizzymanrara here w/ us, but as soon as work is done, I’ll be the first one running to hold him in my arms! Thank YOU ALL for being a part of my little life’s journey on here. I am grateful for all of you that follow along this epic adventure. Once again, Happy Christmas.”
Janette and Aljaz marked the arrival of 2025 by partying in Miami after a family countdown
Janette has revealed she was reunited with her brother for the New Year as they celebrated early at home before heading out to party the night away with Aljaz and her siblings. Alongside sweet pictures in front of a dazzling Christmas tree she penned: “It’s already 2025 at home in the UK, but here in Miami we did our countdown before midnight so that Lyra and the kids can be a part of it. Lots to be grateful for in 2024, but most importantly my family.
“She even got to countdown w/ her great grandmother….. Special. Happy New Year everyone. No matter how you spent it, may it be a year full of blessings and most importantly…. Love.” As she included a video of the Big Ben countdown live in London on New Year’s Eve, fans were quick to respond.
