BBC announces new fly-on-the-wall reality show featuring Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash

The BBC is set to broadcast a new intimate documentary series featuring former X Factor star Stacey Solomon and her husband, actor Joe Swash. Titled ‘Stacey And Joe’, the programme will offer viewers a glimpse into the couple’s family life with children Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle, alongside their four ducks and two dogs, at their charming Pickle Cottage home in Essex.

Scheduled to air on BBC One, the series promises to capture how Solomon and Swash juggle their busy work commitments with family time and personal ventures, including the construction of a two-acre fishing lake on their property. Discussing the upcoming show, 35 year old Solomon expressed her excitement: “2024 was the year me and Joe pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones.”

She added, “We took on different projects and tried new things. It’s been so amazing and nerve-wracking all at the same time, and we just want to keep doing that in 2025, starting with Stacey And Joe.”

Solomon also mentioned her positive experience working with the BBC and Optomen, the production company behind ‘Sort Your Life Out’, saying, “Working with the BBC and Optomen on Sort Your Life Out has been a dream come true, so this team just made sense.”

She continued, “We’ve loved showing a different side to our family’s fun and chaos. We can’t wait for you to join us at Pickle Cottage this year.” The series, filmed over the summer and autumn of 2024, will also celebrate the couple’s second wedding anniversary and delve into their love story.

Additionally, it will follow their son Zach as he anticipates his GCSE results and document Solomon’s triumph at the National Television Awards. Swash, 42, excitedly revealed: “We’ve been doing our best to keep this under wraps but we’re so glad we can finally tell all of you about Stacey And Joe.”

He added that the couple had often been approached for such projects, but it was the collaboration with the BBC and Optomen that really sparked their interest: “Over the years, we’ve been asked a lot to do a show like this but getting the opportunity to work with the BBC and Optomen felt properly exciting.”

Swash promised a glimpse into their lively household: “There will be the normal madness of a family with lots of kids, plenty of animals and two busy parents. Here we go.”
