Baby spider monkey wearing onesie pulled over in a Rolls Royce after driver caught speeding in California

A baby spider monkey was discovered wearing a onesie inside a Rolls Royce Ghost after the driver was pulled over for speeding. A California Highway Patrol encountered the primate during a routine traffic stop on December 30.

In a statement, Madera police said: “Last night (December 30, 2024), a CHP Madera officer stopped a Rolls Royce Ghost on northbound SR-99, north of Avenue 17, for excessive speed. The driver was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI and possession of cannabis for sale,”

“The driver was also in possession of a Spider Monkey, believed to be one month old,” adding that primates are illegal to own as pets in California.

Images from the stop revealed a monkey in a pink onesie. Additional photos captured five cell phones and bags and containers of weed placed on the car’s hood.
