An ambulance which was travelling to an emergency incident crashed into a car in a busy Aberdeen street on Sunday evening.
The crash occurred on Ellon Road in the Bridge of Don area of the city at around 7.35pm on December 29, with an alternative ambulance sent to the original call.
No patients were being transported at the time of the crash, and there were no serious injuries sustained during the collision.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital as a precaution while the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) crew members were unhurt.
An SAS spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident involving one of our ambulances and a car on Ellon Road, Aberdeen.
“The ambulance, which was on its way to an emergency call, was not transporting any patients. The SAS crew members were unharmed and, as a precaution, the driver of the car was taken to hospital. An alternative ambulance was sent to the original call.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “There were no serious injuries reported and the road was cleared around 9.15pm.”
