All-Ireland Club Championship fixtures as Ulster sides target another hat-trick of titles

Ulster clubs swept the boards in 2024 and they are threatening to do so again at the start of 2025.

For the third successive season, Ulster teams have a shot at winning the All-Ireland Club Football Championship at Junior, Intermediate and Senior level.

Back in 2023, Tyrone sides Stewartstown and Galbally lost out to Kerry duo Fossa and Rathmore respectively while Glen were denied by Kilmacud in a controversial senior decider.

The Maghera men went one better 12 months ago with a stunning goal from Conor Glass helping the Watty Graham’s come from behind to defeat St Brigid’s of Roscommon.

Arva (Cavan) won the Junior title while Cullyhanna became the first Armagh team to win Intermediate honours.

Errigal Ciaran have already made history by becoming the first Tyrone club to reach the senior decider and they’ll be hoping to finish the job when they face Cuala – a club hoping to create their own history.

Only St Finbarr’s of Cork have won senior titles in football and hurling. Cuala won back-to-back hurling title in 2017 and 2018 and the Dublin outfit will be hoping to land another All-Ireland title this weekend.

Errigal are hoping to become the third Ulster team to lift the Andy Merigan Cup in four seasons with Kilcoo winning in 2021.

The senior football final will be played as a double-header at Croke Park on Sunday with the senior hurling final between Na Fianna (Dublin) and Sarsfields (Cork).

The Intermediate football final was postponed last weekend owing to a tragedy in the Crossmolina club with Ballinderry also bidding to become the third Ulster winner of that competition in four seasons.

Arva’s success last season was the first time Ulster had won the Junior football title since Greencastle of Tyrone in 2007.

Donegal champions Naomh Padraig will be hoping to follow in their footsteps and become only the fourth Ulster winner of the JFC when they face An Cheathrú Rua of Galway.
