An Airdrie man lived out his “dream” last night ahead of Coldplay’s Abu Dhabi concert.
Singer Robbi McFaulds said it was a total “pinch me moment” after he was invited back stage ahead of the “phenomenal” show at the Zayed Sports City Stadium.
The 26-year-old – who moved to Dubai two years ago – was invited back stage by crew chief Mick McGillion who is from Glasgow. Robbi managed to get a picture with him holding frontman Chris Martin’s guitar before being taken behind the scenes and on stage for a few more pics.
Robbi grabbed a selfie on-stage
Speaking to Glasgow Live, Robbi said: “This made my night. I managed to get a picture with Chris Martin’s guitar before Coldplay hit the stage for one of the most unbelievable shows I’ve ever seen!
“I want to let people see that you can really chase your dreams and ambitions. All the way to Abu Dhabi from Scotland”.
Robbi also managed to grab a selfie on stage post-show, he can be seen beaming from ear to ear as crowds headed home. He says the moment was “every singers dream”.
