Aer Lingus has issued an update to passengers on the future of some key routes from Belfast City Airport.
The airline has confirmed to Belfast Live that services between Belfast City and Newcastle have been suspended after “a review of market conditions”.
Meanwhile services between Belfast City and the Isle of Man will operate seasonally in May and June only for those travelling to the Isle of Man TT Races.

It’s understood that Aer Lingus Regional is also currently reviewing the potential return of services between Belfast City and Newquay.
A spokesperson at Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Emerald Airlines told us: “Following a review of market conditions, Aer Lingus Regional services between Belfast City Airport and Newcastle have been suspended. We appreciate the understanding of our passengers impacted by this adjustment.
“Aer Lingus Regional’s schedule at Belfast City Airport is the largest it has ever been, reflecting our commitment to growing connectivity for Northern Ireland. In line with previous operations, Aer Lingus Regional will operate seasonal services between Belfast City and the Isle of Man in May and June 2025 to support travel for the Isle of Man TT Races.
“Aer Lingus Regional remains dedicated to providing seamless connections from Belfast City Airport to Birmingham, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, and Southampton.”
