An AA rosette fine dining restaurant is shutting in its current location – and reopening in a nearby hotel. Pecks Restaurant – on the outskirts of Congleton – has been wowing diners for more than 40 years.
But the Newcastle Road restaurant shuts for good on Saturday, February 2. It will then reopen in part of the Lion & Swan Hotel, in Congleton, from Friday, February 7.
Pear Hospitality Group operates Pecks Restaurant and the Lion & Swan Hotel as well as The Wheatsheaf Hotel, in Sandbach, and The Blue Bell, in Smallwood. Future plans for the Pecks Restaurant site have yet to revealed.
In a social media post to diners, Pecks Restaurant stated: “After trading for more than 40 years, Pecks will move just two miles away to a new premises at the rear of the Lion & Swan. This is a perfect match, as the rosette-accredited culinary delights of Pecks will be suited with our AA five-star inn. Pecks will now offer an exceptional overnight stay to accompany a dining experience you will cherish forever.
“The Pecks team will be moving too, ensuring a smooth and consistent Pecks experience in the new premises. This is an exciting opportunity for Pecks to renew its unforgettable dining experience with a fresh new restaurant and kitchen. Guests can expect the famous ‘Dinner at 8’ tasting menu to remain, but will be elevated with new surroundings, atmosphere and overall experience. Pecks will continue its exceptionally popular high tea, along with an exquisite Sunday lunch.
“Our gift cards are still valid, and the monetary value can be redeemed at any of the Pear Hospitality venues, or indeed at Pecks once the move has been completed. Thank you to our valued guests for supporting Pecks for 40 years. We look forward to welcoming you for many more years to come.”
