A man has been rushed to hospital and another arrested following crash in Dunfermline

A man has been transported to hospital and another has been arrested following a one-vehicle crash on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to Queensferry Road in Dunfermline at around 5am following reports of a collision.

The 23-year-old male passenger of the vehicle was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment following the incident.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested after the crash. The road was closed until 10.15am. An investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash on Queensferry Road, Dunfermline around 5am on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

“The 26-year-old male driver was arrested, and enquiries are ongoing. The 23-year-old male passenger was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. The road re-opened around 10.15am.”
