17 Leeds restaurants, pubs and shops we’ve sadly loved and lost in 2024

It has been another challenging 12 months for the hospitality industry.

Across Leeds we’ve seen big name shops close as well as independents which have formed the fabric of the city for decades. While, the food and drink scene has been hit with some major closures.

In some cases, new businesses have launched while, in others, units still remain empty. Scroll below to reminisce about some of the notable closures we’ve seen in the last 12 months.

Thankfully, it isn’t all doom and gloom. There’s also been many openings in 2024 with lots more to come in 2025. As always, we’ll keep you posted on what there is to look forward to.
